Cemilusta brand was born in 1969 when Cemil Kalkışım, at that time a 12-year-old barber’s apprentice, took over a restaurant with 2 tables in Akçaabat district of Trabzon under the leadership of his father. They produced “Akçaabat meatballs» and sold them in that small  restaurant. In the following period various restaurants were opened under different names and in 1993 it was a flagship 3-story restaurant «Keyvan» at the main street of Trabzon.

In 2010, the 3rd generation of sons took over the business and started the facility for production of bakery and meat products in addition to restaurant management. They  launched restaurants in Trabzon, Istanbul, Ankara, Bursa, Samsun, Erzurum and created  different store concepts with sub-brands “Bilama”, “Akçaabat meatball”, “Cemilusta street”, “Cemilusta express”, “Meatball stove” under the master-brand Cemilusta.
